Video: Business Insider Features The Nigri International Online School

Business Insider: “A group of Hasidic Jews in Brooklyn became experts in online learning before the coronavirus. Now educators are seeking their help.”

Before social distancing and virtual learning became the new normal, the Nigri International Online School has been operating live online classrooms since 2006. The school was created to cater to those around the world who do not have access to local Jewish schools.

Today, as real life classrooms are replaced by virtual ones, educators sought the guidance and assistance of the school.  The staff has been training others, offering online resources and hosting live sessions to help parents, teachers and faculty acclimate to learning online.

”I called the school and got to speak to Yossi,” shared Erica Riley, special instructor. “He walked me through everything, sent me video tutorials, and he's been on a running text with me.”

Below is a video produced by Business Insider, highlighting the Nigri International Online School and its role during the pandemic.  As Business Insider stated, “The Nigri School's long track record offers hope that students can and will adjust to this way of learning.”

The Nigri International Online School is a project of The Shluchim Office.
