Students of Jewish Online School Celebrate End of Year Milestones

The Nigri Jewish Online School, a division of the Shluchim Office, wrapped up an incredible year celebrating end of year milestones with beautiful Siddur parties and graduation ceremonies.

The Nigri Jewish Online School, sister school to Nigri Shluchim Online School caters to secular children worldwide who don't have access to Jewish education or prefer online learning.

"Moshe from our Chabad House has been joining for the past few years and it's amazing how much he's learned,” wrote Rabbi Shimon Pelman, Shliach to the Dominican Republic. “The school has really encouraged him and his family to come more often and be a more active member of our Shul.”

Before the year concluded, each class got to celebrate their own milestones on what they learnt and accomplished this year with special end of year games and hands-on activities.

“It’s been beautiful to see each student grow and shine through learning and forging connections with classmates and teachers,” shared Mrs. Chanie Hertzel, Jewish Online School principal. “We are so grateful to the incredible teachers and staff who made this year so special for our students.”

The first grade class had a special Siddur party, where families and school faculty tuned in live to celebrate this long awaited event for the students who have worked hard all year long and finally earned their Siddur. With backdrops, crowns, and personalized decorations the virtual event was able to give the feeling of an in person celebration.

The eighth grade students celebrated their graduation virtually with staff, family and friends joining from around the world. Having all the students and their families in one virtual space to celebrate both the boys and girls separate graduations was truly something special.

“Eli had such a great time in class this year that he said this week ‘I wish I had class every day,’” said parents Liron and Barak Ben-David. “We loved seeing Eli get excited for class and we appreciate all that he has learned this year!”
